9/16 Portrait Content
Recently I was working as a camera operator on a job for Tribe Cycle. My goal was to create a moody atmosphere using backlighting techniques while shooting two classes, all in a 9/16 format for social media. Placing the main light source behind the subjects, we created depth and dimension to the shots. This technique allowed us to create a moody ambiance, perfectly matching the intensity of Tribe Cycle's classes.
We shot the footage in a 9/16 format, specifically optimized for vertical viewing on mobile devices. By adapting to this format, we ensured that Tribe Cycle's video seamlessly captured viewers' attention as they scrolled through their social media feeds. Framing and composition played a crucial role in maintaining visual balance within the vertical frame, while effectively capturing the action and conveying the brand's energy.
